The Salvation Army had a successful weekend at the bucket as they look to get closer to reaching their Red Kettle Campaign goal.
On Saturday, the organization was turning every $20 dropped into the kettle into a $100 donation, as their numbers were down 40 percent from last year.
Major Tom Riggs said the goal of $50,000 was surpassed easily over the weekend. Right now, the organization is less than one-third of the way into their $350,000 goal.
Riggs also said the Salvation Army is in desperate need of toys. Salvation Army Angel Trees are placed around the city to collect toys for children in the Sioux Falls area. Find an Angel Tree location online.
