Russia Banning US Food Imports

August 7, 2014, 6:03 PM

Russia Banning US Food Imports
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Russia is banning US food imports as retaliation for sanctions over Ukraine.

Some banned foods include, meat, fish, milk, fruits and vegetables.

This is a move many say will hurt people living in Russian cities and producers here in KELOLAND. Hog farmers at the Sioux Empire Fair expect the political move to hurt their bottom line.

“The prices are going to go up for them, the prices are going to go down for us, so it’s not a good deal on either end,” Andrea Bloch said

Russia's import ban includes the United States, European Union, Australia, Canada and Norway.
