SIOUX FALLS, SD -
The executive director and founder of Second Chance Rescue Center has been fired by her board of directors.
A member of the board told KELOLAND News tonight that they terminated Rosey Quinn as the executive director because they want to move in a new direction.
Quinn was involved in a controversial court case that
was dropped last July when the court ruled that the search and seizure warrant to take 172 dogs from Turner County dog breeder Dan Christensen was
obtained illegally. The seizure was carried out in
September 2009 but the charges against Christensen were
dropped July 2010.
A member of the Second Chance board says they are also changing the name of the center from Second Chance Rescue Center to Second Chance Adoption Center and they are excited to move forward and expand their services.
We'll hear more from the board about these changes coming up on KELOLAND News at 10.
