Roses For Fallen Vets Handed Out At Nyberg's Ace

May 24, 2014, 5:55 PM by Jared Ransom

Roses For Fallen Vets Handed Out At Nyberg's Ace
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

A chain of Sioux Falls hardware stores is taking part in a national Memorial Day weekend program honoring U.S. Military veterans.

Nyberg's Ace Hardware locations in Sioux Falls are handing out 1,000 roses to their customers today and all day tomorrow, encouraging them to place the roses at the headstone of a local veteran. It is their way of expressing their gratitude for the ultimate sacrifice that was given.

"It's something we're proud to do. We have veterans that work for us that I know like the fact that we're a part of this also. It's just something to do to honor those who have served and lost their lives," assistant manager Zane Hoffelt said.

Because of Nyberg's partnership with the Memorial Day Flowers Foundation, 600 additional roses will also be placed on headstones at Arlington National Cemetary in Washington, DC.
