What has been a rollercoaster of temps and this month will soon turn into a steady ride. 60s and 70s are likely for everyone this weekend and into next week. 80s will even make an appearance or two.
This is coming from a month with a high of 81 in Sioux Falls to a record low of 11. While wild temperature swings are not uncommon in spring, the long awaited prolonged warm air will soon be here.
We know the weekend will give us widespread 60s and 70s, but some areas will have to dodge rain drops from time to time. As we go into next week, not only will the air temperature warm but the dew point will also go up. Some of us might be able to feel the extra humidity in the air around midweek. The extra heat and humidity may lead to strong to severe storms ahead of a brief cool down at the end of the week. But many locations can use the water going into planting season.
