Robert Sentencing Trial Live On KELOLAND.com
Eric Robert

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The sentencing trial for state penitentiary inmate Eric Robert begins Monday at 10:30 a.m. and KELOLAND News will stream it live on KELOLAND.com.

In April, Robert and two other inmates are accused of trying to escape from the South Dakota State Penitentiary. In the process, corrections officer Ron Johnson was killed.

Robert admitted to killing Johnson, and this week Judge Brad Zell will hear evidence and testimony to decide Robert's fate. The state is asking for the death penalty.

You will be able to watch the trial live on the KELOLAND.com Live Video page when it resumes at 1:30 p.m.
