David Mentzer
SIOUX FALLS, SD -
The suspect in a string of convenience store robberies made his first trip to court on Wednesday.
60-year-old David Mentzer is accused of five crimes at three Sioux Falls stores in just over a month.
The most recent crime was Monday. That's when police say he attempted to rob the Kum and Go at 69th Street and Western Avenue.
The clerk refused to give him any money. When the suspect left the store, the clerk wrote down his license plate number, which led to Mentzer's arrest on Tuesday.
