Road Construction Round Up
SIOUX FALLS, SD -
  • Eighth Street

On Monday, the westbound lane of Eighth Street will be closed west of Cherapa Street while Xcel Energy removes a power pole.

Westbound traffic will use the center lane. The work should be finished by the end of the day.

  • Second Avenue

Work on Second Avenue will begin on Monday. The street will be closed at 15th Street as crews perform repair work.

Second Avenue should be open by Wednesday.

  • Minnesota Avenue

Crews will be working on the southbound inside lane of Minnesota Avenue north of 69th Street Monday. The outside lane will remain open.

The lane should reopen in about four days.

  • 12th Street

Also on Monday, the westbound inside lane of 12th Street, west of Marion Road will be closed. Crews will make repairs to the street. The outside lane will stay open.

The lane should reopen in about four days.

  • Mall Avenue

Starting Tuesday, Mall Avenue will be closed north of Tenth Street. Local traffic will still have access.

Building maintenance will begin and should be finished by the afternoon.

  • Six Mile Road

Six Mile Road between 26th Street and Highway 42 will be closed on Tuesday while crews install a new water main. Those traveling through the area should use Powderhouse Road. Tenth Street and Highway 42 will not be affected.

Crew should be finished in four to five weeks.

  • Benson & Cliff

Work on the outside eastbound lane of Benson Road west of Cliff Avenue will be closed on Tuesday. Crews will be making street repairs.

The inside lane will be open and the work should be finished in four days.

  • Benson & St. Paul

Also on Tuesday, the westbound inside lane of Benson west of St. Paul Avenue will be closed for repairs. The outside lane will stay open.

Work should be finished in four days.

  • St. Andrews

Starting Wednesday there will be various lane closures on St. Andrews Drive between Minnesota Avenue and Inverness Drive. Crew will be making various road repairs.

Traffic will be allowed to go through but delays are expected. The work should be finished in two weeks.

  • Dakota Avenue

Also at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, the east parking lane and east northbound lane on Dakota Avenue will be closed south of Ninth Street. Crews will be performing building maintenance.

Work should be finished by 7:30 a.m. that morning.
