As the weather gets warmer, construction signs go up and road repairs begin.
On Monday, the city of Sioux Falls begins its Street Improvement Season. Work begins on West 41st Street from Ellis Road to east of Grinnell Avenue.
The project will widen 41st Street from Ellis Road to Sertoma Avenue. 41st Street will now have four lanes, a center median, turn lanes and bike lanes.
During construction traffic will be diverted to 26th Street. Drivers are asked to use alternate routes.
Crews will not begin work near Roosevelt High School until after school is out and expect to be done with that section before school begins next fall. The project should be completed by November.
