Reward Offered For Custer Ranch Vandalism
CUSTER, SD -

The Black Hills Historical Preservation Trust is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for vandalism to historical landmark.

Officials report approximately $12,000 in damages to the property. Numerous windows were broken and an exterior door was damaged from forced entry.

Anyone with information is asked to call Forest Service Law Enforcement Officer Eric Nelson at 605-673-9307.

The 278-acre Meeker Ranch was built in 1887 east of Custer and features several historic structures. Cattle rancher Frank Cunningham Meeker homesteaded the site in 1882.
