This weekend, a travelling replica of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington D.C. is visiting Marshall, Minnesota.
The Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall is a three fifths scale replica of the full sized monument. But it still contains all 58,261 names of people who sacrificed their lives in the war.
Bruce Knieff started working to bring this traveling wall to Marshall about a year and a half ago, and he says seeing this monument is a way for people to recover.
“It's here to help the healing process of not only Vietnam vets, but a lot of them is their family. This is a very moving experience for everybody that comes here,” Knieff said.
Right next to the memorial is a tent where guests can look up names, and find the corresponding location on the wall. There's also a tent filled with artifacts and memorabilia from the Vietnam War.
