We're still in line to pick up light snow, but many to our southeast are preparing for a nasty ice storm.
Though roads should improve locally by Saturday, regional travel could be different. Conditions will deteriorate in Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri. The Governor of Missouri already declared a state of emergency after snow, ice and thunderstorms slowed travel.
Back in KELOLAND, we're getting powdery snow because the air is so cold. The good news is the breeze will die down shortly after this storm clears us to the east.
Southwest South Dakota and the northeast prairie will have windy periods Sunday but less snow should fall in these areas before the next system arrives.
