Rapid City authorities are investigating a crash involving a school bus and an SUV Thursday morning.
The sheriff's office says the SUV spun after hitting the stopped bus and struck two children who were crossing the street to get on the bus, injuring them. One suffered critical injuries but is expected to live. The second suffered less serious injuries.
The crash happened at a school bus stop at the intersection of Country Road and Elk Horn Lane around 7:30 a.m. Authorities say the SUV was driven by a 17-year-old boy. The boy was taken the hospital for minor injuries.
Officials say the Rapid City Police Department is completing an investigation and will release more details later.
