Like all of the Republicans running for U.S. Senate in South Dakota, Jason Ravnsborg says he wants to cut the federal budget deficit and repeal Obamacare.
But the 37-year-old Yankton attorney and soldier says it's important that Republicans do more than simply oppose President Barack Obama, and Ravnsborg says he's the one talking plans.
Ravnsborg says he likes the "Penny Plan" from former Florida Congressman Connie Mack, which would cut spending by 1 percent each year for six years and cap spending in the seventh year.
And he'd like to replace Obama's Affordable Care Act with a proposal from three Republican senators that would reduce health care costs while maintaining coverage of pre-existing conditions and coverage until an adult child reaches the age of 26.
