Rapid City Police To Add Extra Patrol

RAPID CITY, SD -
The Rapid City Police Department will increase its patrol presence this holiday weekend in an effort to keep drunk drivers off the streets.
The increased police presence will begin Friday night.
Reducing the number of alcohol-related crashes in Rapid City has been an ongoing goal of the Department. Rapid City police have made 560 arrests for driving under the influence so far this year.

Authorities did not identify the victim, but described him as a 16 year old from Minnehaha County.
