A Rapid City man faces drug and weapon charges following an unusual police call.
At about 10 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 625 Milwaukee St. because a man was firing a taser. When police arrived, officers said 20-year-old Jerel Gay had a taser in his pocket and a bat hidden in his pant leg. Gay told officers he wanted to protect himself from dogs. Police say he also lied about his name.
Gay faces several charges, including carrying a concealed weapon and false impersonation.
