RAPID CITY, SD -
Rapid City crews will now begin clearing broken trees and branches left from last week’s snow storm.
Crews will start to remove the low-hanging and dangerous branches that have broken on Thursday. As a result, city officials are asking homeowners to remove their cars from the street.
If there is a branch in your area that is a hazard and isn’t reached by crews on Thursday, you're asked to call 211.
The rest of the trees and bushes not picked up by the city will be the responsibility of the resident.
If you do have to clean up branches there are a few drop off sites in the city. They are located at the Central States Fairground, Fitzgerald Stadium and the civic center. The drop-off sites are open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. You are asked to cut branches down so they're six feet or less in size.
