RAPID CITY, SD -
A Kyle man injured in a fatal police chase in Rapid City is out of the hospital and in jail.
Authorities say 36-year-old Jimmy Pilcher was transferred to jail Thursday and made his initial court appearance Friday.
He's charged with driving under revocation, driving under the influence, aggravated eluding, manslaughter and vehicular homicide.
Bond was set at $500,000 and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 6.
Authorities were chasing Pilcher on Oct. 11 when his car ran a red light in Rapid City and was hit by another car. A passenger in that vehicle was killed and the driver and several others were injured in the crash that involved four vehicles.
Court records indicate Pilcher has a history of reckless driving.
