Rapid City Building Fire

A fire in Rapid City has crews working through the night, the Rapid City Fire Department responded to the fire around 11:40, Wednesday night.

The first crews on scene at Ziegler Building Center, 840 E. Centre Street, saw heavy smoke and fire showing from the building. The fire was attacked by efforts in and outside the building. When the roof of the building failed, crews changed to an exterior attack.

No one was in the building at the time and no injuries have been reported. Black Hills Red Cross will stay on scene with the RCFD until the fire is completely extinguished. The cause of the first is unknown at this time.
