Public Policy, Social Media Advisor To Speak At Augie

Public Policy, Social Media Advisor To Speak At Augie
Jared Cohen

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

When it comes to social media, he's one of the nation's best.  And this November, he'll be sharing his insights with a crowd at Augustana College.

Augie President Rob Oliver announced that Jared Cohen will be the 2012 Boe Forum on Public Affairs speaker.

Oliver quoted Harry Thompson with the Center of Western Studies regarding Cohen's contributions to foreign affairs and technology.

"'Jared Cohen is among a small group of individuals on earth today who truly understand how we can use technology to champion democracy, engage in thoughtful discourse, create solutions and drive peace,'" Oliver said.

Cohen is 31 years old, which will make him the youngest speaker in the Forum's 17-year history.

The Boe Forum will be November 8 at 7 o'clock in the evening on the Augustana campus. The event is free and open to the public but tickets are required.
