Probe Into High School Hazing Nearly Done

ABERDEEN, SD -
Police in Fargo, North Daktoa, say they could wrap up their investigation into hazing by some South Dakota high school wrestlers by the middle of next week.
The wrestlers from Aberdeen Central High School have already been disciplined by the school district. Fargo Police Sgt. Jason Nelson says that information from the police probe will be forwarded to the Cass County state's attorney's office in North Dakota. Nelson says any criminal charges would be filed there, though any punishment would be carried out in South Dakota's Brown County.
Officials say the hazing occurred December 30 while the wrestling team was in Fargo for a tournament. School officials have not released details but say the punishment followed district policy, which would involve suspension from the team.
