PREMIER Center's Opening Show Announced

PREMIER Center's Opening Show Announced

The first concert to be held in the new Denny Sanford Premier Center was officially announced Monday.

The Denny Sanford PREMIER Center is starting to take shape and looks just about ready to hold a big show. That will be done when two big country acts perform on October 3.

"And that's going to be Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and we're totally excited about it," Senior Vice President of Entertainment for SMG Jim McCue said.

The announcement comes on the same day Cher tickets go on sale for Halloween at the PREMIER Center.

Officials say Cher tickets are selling extremely well, and they're anxious to see what happens with Aldean's "Burn It Down" tour.

"The 'My Kind of Party' tour, the tour before this one, sold out all 40 shows. Jason Aldean has won six Academy of Country Music Awards. Including the 2013 and 2014 Male Vocalist of the Year," McCue said.

Florida Georgia Line also boasts several awards. For a show this big, officials say the tickets are reasonably priced.

"Tickets are $59.75 and $29.75, which is another good reason this is a quality opening act. We have two headliners and your top ticket price is $60. So it's a very affordable show," Terry Torkildson, General Manager of the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, said.

"It's really, really exciting to be able to say that those artists that are performing in stadiums and arenas across the country and selling out everywhere will be the opening show here at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center," McCue said.

Tickets go on sale this week on Friday, June 20 at 10:00 a.m. on
