Xcel Energy says power has been restored to all but a few dozen customers in downtown Sioux Falls.
The announcement came Saturday afternoon.
More than 500 customers were affected by the outage that happened early Friday morning following an underground fire traced to electrical equipment. By Saturday morning about 200 customers remained in the dark.
Xcel officials say the power is now 95 percent restored. It says the only customers left without power are businesses.
Full restoration is expected by 7 a.m. Sunday.
