Police Respond To Shooting In Aberdeen

Police arrested a man after an early morning shooting in Aberdeen.

Officers with the Aberdeen Police Department and Brown County Sheriff's Office responded to a call 2 a.m. Saturday of a woman being shot in the southwest part of town.

Responders arrived and found the shooting victim on the 1000 block of South Main Street, Police Captain Dave McNeil said. Paramedics with Aberdeen Fire and Rescue brought her to the hospital by ambulance.

Officers arrested a suspect in the shooting. With the investigation ongoing, McNeil says he can't release either name at this time. He expect to release more information Monday.
