Police Captain Retires After 31 Years
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

A man who has served the city of Sioux Falls for over 30 years celebrates his retirement.

Captain Mark Jensen retired as the Investigative Services Division Commander on Friday.

Police Chief Doug Barthel and Mayor Mike Huether were on hand to commemorate Jensen on 31 years with the force. After being presented with several awards for his accomplishments, the Captain gave an emotional farewell.

"I've had a fantastic career at the Police Department. Most of you are the reason why I had that career, and why it was so much fun to come to work every day. And I really appreciate it," Jensen said.

Captain Jensen is the husband of KELOLAND News Director Beth Jensen.
