Pipestone Girl's Golden Birthday One In 100

December 12, 2012, 10:09 PM by Kelly Bartnick

Pipestone Girl's Golden Birthday One In 100
PIPESTONE, MN -

A Pipestone pre-teen celebrated her golden birthday in a special way Wednesday. Jamie Pantekoek turned 12 on December 12, 2012.

“It's cool because I'm turning 12 on 12-12-12. It's the same number as the date, month, and year. And it won't happen again for another 100 years,” Pantekoek said.

That puts her in a club with only a few others in KELOLAND. She was surrounded by family and friends after school; one of them was a birthday surprise earlier in the week

“Nobody knew I was coming,” Austin Kelley said, a family friend on leave from Arizona. His visit surprised everyone, including Jamie

“[She and her sister] are like little sisters to me.” Kelley said.

“I already knew because my sister posted it on facebook,” Pantakoek said about Kelley’s surprise visit.

Jamie plans to spend the rest of her golden birthday at her favorite restaurant, Applebee’s.
