PIERRE, SD -
The mayor of South Dakota's capital city says she'll seek a second term.
Fifty-one-year-old Laurie Gill was first elected in 2008, becoming the 18th mayor in Pierre's history and only the second woman to hold the position.
Gill has been on the City Commission since 1999, serving three three-year terms as a commissioner before being elected mayor. In her professional life she runs a medical clinic.
The city election is June 7.
