Pierre Mayor: Flooding Woes Become A Memory

Pierre Mayor Laurie Gill says that flooding made 2011 a difficult year for her city's residents, but Pierre was on an upswing in 2012 - and she has high hopes for next year, too.

Gill says that flood recovery and reconstruction dominated the city at the start of 2012. Most of the major repairs have been tackled, and come 2013, residents will once again be able to use parts of the city that had been heavily damaged.

The mayor says that other highlights include the completion of a new airport terminal and a multi-purpose trail on the northeast side of the city.
