People Urged To Prepare For Cold Snap

Temperatures are forecast to be well above freezing Friday but there's a significant cold snap expected just around the corner.

Temperatures are expected to begin dropping below zero Sunday night.  But now's the time to start preparing for the extreme cold.  The best way to protect yourself against the sub-zero temperatures is to stay inside.

But when the work week begins for many on Monday, that won't be an option as temperatures continue to stay low.  So experts suggest wearing several layers of loose-fitting, lightweight clothing.  The top layer should be water-repellent and hooded.

And most important, wear a hat because half of your body heat can be lost through your head.
