One of three people missing after their Wyoming-bound plane disappeared in central Utah has ties to South Dakota.
Trista Meyer grew up in Piedmont and attended high school in the area but now lives in Gillette, Wyoming. She has numerous family members in the Black Hills.
Meyer, her 9-year-old daughter, Shyann Lenz, and pilot Matthew Ahrens have been missing after the plane disappeared from radar Sunday shortly after making a refueling stop in Fillmore, Utah. It was heading home from Bakersfield, California, back to Gillette.
The Glenrock Bird reports that four planes helped search for the missing plane around Fillmore on Tuesday.
