SIOUX FALLS, SD -
You can find plenty to do at the Sioux Falls Arena and Convention Center this weekend, but finding a parking place might be a tough task.
Thousands of people expected to attend the Sioux Empire Home Show and the Summit League Tournament. Combine that with construction of the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center and parking could be a challenge.
While there are spots available at the complex, other lots are also being opened up for parking. You will find additional spaces at McCart Park on Western Avenue, which is three blocks south of the complex. Parking will also be available at Elmwood Golf Course on Russell Street.
Free shuttle service will run to and from both locations from 9 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. You can use the shuttles from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Street parking is also available in the following locations:
- On the Frontage Road on the north side of Russell Street directly north of the Arena/Convention Center
- On the Frontage Road on the south side of Russell Street northwest of the Arena/Convention Center
- On Madison Street, as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Streets, south of the Arena/Convention Center
- On several side streets east of the Arena/Convention Center.
On Saturday and Sunday, you can also park in the Sioux Falls School District's Operational Services lot west of the Arena/Convention Center.
