Two Rapid City men were arrested on drug charges after the vehicle they were in ran a stop sign.
Police believe that 35-year-old Gerry Janis, who was driving the vehicle, and 34-year-old Michael Merrival were using methamphetamine at the time of the arrest.
Janis is facing charges for open container, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and running the stop sign.
Merrival is facing charges for ingesting a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, disorderly conduct, obstructing police, false personation, possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding warrant.
Merrival ran from police and briefly hid in some grass before he crossed Interstate 90 and was arrested in parking lot.
