Along with the cold came the opportunity to try outdoor science experiments.
The activities show just how cold it is outside.
When we put an ice cube tray with water outside, it took just 10 minutes for ice to form.
Others found the fun in throwing hot water into the air to see what happens. In the cold, it immediately crystallizes and falls to the ground. When we tested to see how long it would take for a wet t-shirt to freeze, the KELOLAND StormTracker App showed the temperature at 10 below zero and a wind chill of minus 33.
