ONIDA, SD -
South Dakota is changing its capital to Onida on Thursday.
Gov. Dennis Daugaard recently announced that Onida has been chosen to be South Dakota's Capital for a Day.
Daugaard and a small delegation of state officials will tour Onida and have a roundtable meeting with business and community leaders. There will also be a coffee and constituent outreach hour.
Daugaard said the event will allow him to get better acquainted with the leaders and become more informed on local issues in Onida.
Mayor Gary Wickersham said the people of Onida look forward to Daugaard and his staff visiting.
