One Dead In Plane Crash In Western SD

HARDING COUNTY, SD -

Just east of Ludlow, in Harding County, the Sheriff's Office tells KELOLAND a crop dusting plane crashed just after 7 p.m. Thursday night.

The Dewey County Sheriff's Office tells us Doug Kraft was the pilot from Timber Lake. They say he was crop dusting near the Montana border at the time that his plane went down. Kraft died at the scene.

As of Friday morning, the cause of the crash is under investigation.

The Harding County Sheriff's Office is on the scene. They say they are waiting for the Federal Aviation Administration for a full investigation of the crash.
