Officials from Pennington County are hosting communities meetings next week to inform residents about fire danger associated with areas of the Black Hills affected by pine beetles.
The Pennington County Sheriff's Office says local and county officials will be giving presentations on fire danger and behavior and law enforcement response to evacuations. They will also be discussing emergency preparedness, a reimbursement program and other topics.
The first meeting is scheduled for Monday in Keystone at the Keystone Community Center. On Tuesday, a meeting will be held at the City Hall in Hill City.
