'Odd' Crime Ends In Assault, Drug Charges

'Odd' Crime Ends In Assault, Drug Charges

A 26-year-old man is facing assault and drug charges in a case police are calling odd.

Police say Buke Mardanlou rode along with a couple and a Billion salesman on their way to see a vehicle.  Police say nobody in the car knew who he was and assumed the other party knew him.  Those in the car described the ride as awkward.

When they got back to the dealership on 41st Street and Minnesota Avenue, Mardanlou allegedly went into an office area that was off-limits.  After he was approached by a salesman, Mardanlou said he wanted to buy a vehicle.

When the salesman went to copy off some paperwork, Mardanlou allegedly stabbed him with a screwdriver.  The victim had a minor cut to the back of his neck.

Police also found meth on Mardanlou.
