Another nuisance snow fell in Sioux Falls Monday morning. And it was another one that tallied less than an inch. Looking back at the snow season, we've had over twice as many snows adding up to less than an inch than those that added up to more than an inch.
Since November, Sioux Falls has recorded 37 calendar days with measurable snow. Eleven of those have been over an inch while 26 of those have been under an inch. But keep in mind, these are calendar days with measurable snow.
Meaning, a snow storm that may have dumped over an inch total could have started before midnight the day before and carried over into the next day. Regardless of how you look at it, over twice as many inch and under snows is still impressive.
Our next chance at another nuisance snow will be later this week, around the Thursday into Friday time frame.
