NSIC Tournament Tips Off At Pentagon

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference tournament tips off today at its new home, the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, drawing thousands of basketball fans from across the region.

The third game of the day is just tipping off, and it is going to be a busy four days here on the court with 14 games on the schedule to determine a winner in the men's and women's brackets.

This is the first year of a three year agreement with the Pentagon hosting the final three rounds of the tournament. NSIC Commissioner Butch Raymond says there the new arena is by far the best venue in the area to host an event like this, and he is pleased with how the first day is going.

Coming up tonight on KELOLAND News at 10 we talked to a guy who drove from Aberdeen for the event and get his first experience in the Pentagon.
