Not All Signing Day Parties Are Free In Dakotas
FARGO, ND -

Four Division I colleges in North and South Dakota are holding signing day parties for football and other sports. Only one is charging for the event.

Such are the benefits of the three-time Football Championship Subdivision winners North Dakota State Bison.

Athletes around the country will be signing NCAA letters of intent Wednesday.

NDSU athletic director Gene Taylor says the $25 fee essentially covers the cost of the party. He says it's another way for the school to market its athletic program.

South Dakota State athletic director Justin Sell says that while the Jackrabbits aren't at the point where they feel comfortable charging for the signing day party, the interest and donations are at an all-time high. The Jacks reached the second round of FCS playoffs last year.
