CANTON, SD -

A tornado was confirmed just north of Canton when a small storm system moved through the area.

The storm made its way from Harrisburg to Canton beyond the Newton Hills area bringing heavy rain with pea to golf ball size hail. Not a lot of damage was reported.

The storm left lots of standing water with streams moving swiftly because of the new water added. No reports of any serious damage just people in the area will be doing a lot of drying off.
