North Dakota Woman Dies From Injuries In Motorcycle Crash
RAPID CITY, SD -

A 44-year-old North Dakota woman is dead from a motorcycle crash on Highway 16 near Rapid City on Saturday.

Michelle Thomas was riding a Harley Davidson with 55-year-old Warren Thomas. Michelle was a passenger in a group of three motorcycles as they headed southbound near Strato Rim Drive.

The drivers ahead of Warren Thomas slowed to turn. As Warren hit the brakes, the motorcycle crossed the fog line, turned on its side and slid, throwing both riders.

Neither was wearing a helmet.

Michelle Thomas was taken to a Rapid City hospital, where she died on Monday of her injuries. Warren Thomas received minor injuries.

No further information is available.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating.
