A norovirus outbreak in southeastern South Dakota caused an entire school district to cancel classes on Friday.
The Bridgewater-Emery district closed its doors to students because so many of them have been sick.
On Thursday, 70 students were absent along with three teachers. With the classrooms empty on Friday, staff are going around cleaning every inch of the building using a disinfectant.
The state Department of Health says norovirus is spreading across South Dakota.
