A Mitchell woman escaped serious injury when her vehicle crashed into Lake Mitchell over the weekend.
Authorities say 19-year-old Jessica Priem's pickup truck slid off an icy road Saturday morning, went down an embankment, hit a tree and went into the water. The front tires broke through the ice but Priem was able to climb out to safety.
Priem was taken to a hospital to be checked after complaining of a headache.
