Sioux Falls had showers and thunderstorms Saturday night. When the rain stopped, the city officially had just under a quarter inch at the airport.
That means the city has now seen 2.35 inches since September 1. We are no longer in the running for one of the top ten driest autumns on record.
Though it was nice to get the rain, we're still nearly an inch below average. That might be hard to come by, considering we average less than an inch for the last three weeks of the month.
The last time Sioux Falls had above average rain was in May. Though this week looks dry, we'll have to see what the rest of the month brings for moisture.
