February 27, 2012, 11:23 AM
CANTON, SD -
A 32-car train has derailed in downtown Canton, stopping traffic in the town south of Sioux Falls.
Canton Police Chief Dave Miller says ice on the tracks accumulated and caused the train to jump the tracks Monday morning.
Miller says no one has been hurt and authorities are waiting for a locomotive to lift the cars back on the track.
Traffic is expected to be restored later Monday afternoon.
