Many Sioux Falls public schools have installed new security systems in the lobbies.
The new system works a lot like ringing a doorbell. All you do is push a button, which alerts someone in the front office. That person will ask you a few questions about your visit and then let you in.
There’s also a camera attached to the security system. So, employees can see whoever is coming in.
School officials say this system is to improve security and keep people out of the school who don’t belong there.
