We're learning more about the deadly bus accident involving a Lakeview School District bus near Cottonwood, Minnesota.
At least four students are dead and more than a dozen others were injured. Avera Marshall Hospital has given an update on the patients they received after Tuesday's accident. They report five patients were treated and released.
Of the others, seven are in fair to stable condition, one in critical, and the condition of three others, including one airlifted from the scene is unknown. They remain hospitalized this morning in Marshall, Granite Falls, and Sioux Falls.
According to the Minnesota state patrol, a van hit the school bus which caused the bus to tip on its side and then hit a truck.
Classes in the Lakeview school district have been canceled for the day, but counselors and clergy will be available to help the community deal with the loss.
More information should be released throughout the day. We'll have those updates here on KELOLAND.com and News.
