NE Woman Killed In I-90 Motorcycle Crash In SD

MURDO, SD -
A Nebraska woman died in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 90 in central South Dakota.
The Highway Patrol says 34-year-old Whitney Buchholz, of Lexington, Neb., was a passenger on the bike that went out of control west of Murdo and rolled on its side shortly before 2:30 p.m. Thursday. She died on the way to a Pierre hospital.
The driver, 30-year-old Patrick Lange, of Cozad, Nebraska, was hospitalized in Sioux Falls with what the patrol said were life-threatening injuries.
The patrol says neither rider was wearing a helmet. The cause of the crash was being investigated.
