The NDSU Bison and IPFW Mastodons met in the Men’s Basketball Summit League Championship Game. The Mastodons came out hungry and surprised the Bison taking an early 22-16 lead in the first half.
At halftime IPFW led the Bison 35-30. The Mastodons were shooting 50 percent from the field while NDSU was shooting 40 percent.
As the second half started, the Bison worked their way back into the game. From there it was a back and forth Championship that went down to the wire. It wasn’t until late when Taylor Braun drove in the lane hit the shot with 12 seconds left and drew the foul. That sealed it for the Bison as they became the 2014 Summit League Men’s Basketball Champions.
